TOTAL FIRE BAN UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

Fine for violation of the ban is $345.00

It is now the law in British Columbia that all homes built prior to 1979 must have working smoke detectors installed. Homes built after 1979 shall have a hard wired smoke detector and battery back up detectors installed.

Failure to comply with the law could make your home fire insurance null and void in the event of a fire.
